Glenbow Western Research Centre

The Glenbow Western Research Centre (GWRC) is the reading room for Archives and Special Collections at the University of Calgary. The reading room is open by appointment only. Students, faculty, staff, and community members are all welcome to visit and access our collections and expert staff. Contact us to book an appointment.

The climate-controlled space opened in 2019 with the support of the Siebens Family, the Taylor Family Foundation, and Fred P. Mannix, to mark the move of the Glenbow library and archives to the University of Calgary. The Research Centre features large worktables, two private consultation rooms, a meeting room, microform reader, and computer stations.
