Chart of Terms/Years for 2000.01
Specific Retention Rule 2000.01 documents the retention requirements for course assignments (of any kind) and examinations (including midterms, quizzes etc). The key to applying this rule is to determine whether or not the material was meant to be returned to the student. See the three options below.
Option 1
Exams and Student Assignments NOT meant to be returned to the student: Retain for one full year following the end of the term as noted below:

Exams and Student Assignments meant to be returned to the student and not picked up: Retain for 6 months.

Blank exam booklets can be destroyed any time.
