Book Collections
The Special Collections print collection includes broadsides, pamphlets, periodicals and monographs, and ranges in time from the fifteenth to the twenty-first century. There are examples of incunabla (books printed before 1500), a leaf of the Gutenberg Bible, 1493 Biblia Latina printed by Anton Koberger, and an early sixteenth century Book of Hours Use of Amiens. Paperbacks, comics, and genre fiction document 20th and 21st century popular culture. Books held in Special Collections are listed in the library search tool and display “Archives and Special Collections TFDL Reading Room Use Only” as their location.
