Author and educator. Born April 10, 1940 in Fargo, North Dakota, of Canadian parents. Taught at various universities in Canada and the United States, where he currently resides. Biographical information available in The Oxford companion to Canadian literature, 2nd ed., p. 126-127.

Fonds consists of the following series: correspondence; manuscript, arranged in two subseries, fiction and non-fiction; translation; works by other authors; works by creative writers ; photograph; and miscellaneous. Previously known as Clark Blaise papers. Manuscripts of Days and nights in Calcutta co-authored by C. Blaise and Bharati Mukherjee. Acquired in 1980 and 1987 from C. Blaise.
