Retrieval of records

Since many records are stored offsite, it may take up to 2 days to retrieve the records. 

University Archives staff will call you when the records are available.

To access permanent records:

  • Permanent records cannot be loaned out
  • Files can be viewed in the Reading Room.
  • If required, copies may be made free of charge.

To access Limited Term Storage (LTS) or Research (RE) records:

  • Limited Term Storage (LTS) and Research (RE) records can be loaned back out to the unit that transferred them for storage.the Archives.
  • Come to the Reading Room to retrieve the files and sign them out.
  • Keep the file(s) in a secure location in your office while the records are in your custody.
  • Return the file(s) to the University Archives in person when you are finished.

For non-permanent records: LTSXXX For permanent records: a decimalized number (ie 99.023; 2010.03)
